Designing high-performance adsorbents for wastewater treatment and antibacterial materials food biomedical applications excellent drug carrier to prolong time retention of the therapeutic based on biodegradable polymers has gained more interest in recent years. Among these materials, xanthan gum, which is a natural polysaccharide plays vital role various such as industry, enhanced oil recovery, water-based paints, pharmaceuticals, personal care products because it properties biodegradability non-toxicity. On other hand, many affected limitations, including microbially attack, poor thermal mechanical stability, low surface area. So, this review, we focused advanced modifications gum their treatment, protein delivery, designing antimicrobial materials.
